I ride this one as much as possible. I love it. It is amazing in how light and well it handles. I have over 47 years of riding experience and 12 of them racing, Moto-Cross, dirt track, Road racing (once at Phoenix Int'l Raceway, set an unofficial track record in my class. . big thrill  ). . . and always thought Beemers were kind of weird. After reading the review in Motorcyclist I went and bought one sight unseen and am now a stone cold fan. It is a truly awesome ride.

I have been trying to decide between a R1200GS and a F800 GS for some time now. As with you I have never owned a Beemer and for decades thought the Boxer was one ugly motor and BMW's were ugly bikes.
I am older and hopefully wiser now "50" and ready for a comfortable all around dual sport. I have been riding Harleys for the past 10 years and still own a Ultra Clasic, which I will keep. The *** crotch rockets are long gone, They were fun back when my back and legs could handle it. Long trips were also not on the agenda. Times change....
