After buying 2 Mz 660 Baghira Supermotos and selling them because of parts availability, buying and selling a KTM 520 exc with the full works MXtech supermoto setup (sold due to unable to afford replacement parts for my body) buying and selling (with 2.6 miles on ebay)a Suzuki Dr400 supermoto because my riding lawnmower is faster, I built the supermoto I wish the Japanese OEM's would.
Started with a nice low mile 2004 Suzuki Dr 650. Added East Coast Excel wheels with Eagle billet hubs, Continental Road Attack Radials, lowered the forks and installed Progressive Suspension springs, Moose fork skins, Acerbis supermoto front fender, Renthal alloy handlebars, Moose aluminum throttle tube, Acerbis supermoto hand guards, Kouba link mirror extenders, Webcam hardweld cam, Mukuni TM40 pumper carb, full FMF exhaust, K&N air and oil filters, custom lowering links to get the rear ride height to match the front, Eibach rear shock spring, 44/15 gearing with DID x-ring 520 chain, Supermoto Engineering axle, barend and footpeg sliders, DRC taillight and tag mount, Suzuki luggage rack, Suzuki skid plate and Corbin seat. I now have a fast, reliable, very good handling, Japanese supermoto for not much more that the MSRP of the POS supermotos the factories think we want.
